Newport News, VA residence. Creatively challenging and fun project, a sophisticated Man Cave. Large room for pool table, multiple tv screens, bar, memorabilia and a separate poker room with two tv screens. French doors between rooms required glass with a sports theme with a more sophisticated flair than typical "man cave" per clients request. Sports balls as that theme became my inspiration out of the blue. Textured glasses were used to simulate life size balls of various sports that are favorites of the doctor. Basketball, football, volley ball, tennis, golf, baseball, pool and also hockey pucks. Playing cards were portrayed also life size in the rectangular shapes inside the large center circle with suits etched appropriately. All identifying marks of the balls and puck were indicated on the textures through etching those details. Theme was unified by bands of muted color and additional clear textures. The clients were ecstatic with the results on installation.
